My parents and the Bible tell us not to be jealous of others. I try not to. Sometimes (just sometimes) I do find myself invious of someones something...house, car, weight, hair, family etc. But I always catch myself and I am always thankful that God is providing those things for my friends and family. HOWEVER, I AM INVIOUS OF BETH MOORE. I LOVE HER!!! I want what she has. I want the power she has in her. I want the faith she has in her. I want the joy that she exudes. The GREAT news is...me and you can have it! All of these things and more are available from the Holy Spirit. Jesus sent back the SAME Holy Spirit for Beth Moore that he sent back for me and you!!!
Today was the first day of the bible study given by Beth Moore that I am attending. Oh, how I wish it was already Tuesday again. Or that Beth would give class everyday of the week. She literally spoke wisdom and encouragment into me today via the Holy Spirit. I knew she was talking only to me and the other 50 women had just shown up for the coffee. Do you know how that is? Have you heard a word from God and knew it was meant just for you? Today two words stand out to me...LIVE/BEYOND. And that is my plan. I plan to live beyond. Today I joined the gym, worked out twice!, ate fat free all day, did not drink soda and completed the first four chapters of my online class.
Last year was a hard one. For a lot of us I know. I hadn't seen hard times like it in many years. It could have broke me, it could still be haunting me but my God is so much bigger then that! This is a New Year in a new home, new car, new classes, new schedule, new friends and new relationships with old friends, new health strategy, new energized work schedule...JUST NEW! Can you smell it? The new smell? I can and it is so sweet.
Well I have to hit the hay, that 7:30 workout will come bright and early. Let's remember in prayer those affected by the earthquake in Haiti and surrounding areas today. No matter where you are family feels the same and today families were broken. Please keep the people and the situation in your prayers.
