Praying for Haiti

Me~You know Jeff, there are planes headed to Indiana loaded with Haiti orphans in need of homes.

Jeff~Really?

Me~Yes, and when they arrive they need adoptive families.

Jeff~Really?

Me~Yeah, and the are asking for families who already have home studys completed and can begin the adoption process immediately.

Jeff~Really?

Me~Yeah, and they are asking for families who meet this criteria to send in an email to let them know if you can help by adopting now.

Jeff~Really?

Me~(now I am not speaking, just looking sheepishly at Jeff)

Jeff~Email the agency and tell them we will adopt.

Me~REALLY???

Today we prayed and made the decision that we would adopt again, this time from Haiti. As it turns out the response to the need was so great all of the children coming have families waiting for them. So we may not adopt again. BUT, if the need arises again we are available. I have felt a tug at my heart and prayed since the earthquake that these children would be taken care of. I believe that God is doing just that. Only those who have adopted can realize the miracle of these children coming here who are not paper ready. The Lord is moving his hand. I was excited at Jeff's response but I am not disappointed at the conclusion. This is all in Gods hands and I really want it to be his timing and most perfect placement. I will continue to pray and if we are to adopt again, God will provide!

Keep praying for Haiti. YES, you can send money...but more importantly pray! There is power in prayer and if we all join in prayer, all will be in Gods hands.
