Can you believe it is March? I am so looking forward to spring. Our house is busting to get out, grill, run, ride bikes and play. I love the fire burning but enough is enough already. I am ready for some sunshine and warm.

Things are hopping around here as usual. Karras went back to public school. He asked to go back and it is really working for him this time around. He loves school and his classmates. His language is progressing everyday and he is really a joy. Jeff asked me the other day how I am so good at picking the right children for our family. I don't think I'm good but I know God is. Karras as well as Kale and Jayden are as perfect for us as they could be. What a blessing they are!

Bryan was in a weight lifting competition last weekend and did very well. I went to watch for the first time and it was fun but smelly. Bryan lifts like 500lbs.! Crazy, I know. These boys look in pain going through their lifting and the chiropractor bill agrees! But I absolutely love spending time with Bryan and his friends. I am including a picture of the day but I uploaded all of them to FB, so check there.

Makayla is getting taller and more beautiful everyday. She loves everyday and lives it to the fullest. I am envious of her. She is so wonderful.

Kale and Jayden are growing up so fast. I looked the other day and Kale is all grown up. He is a little boy now, not a toddler. The hours fly by. Homeschooling is fun and laid back. We love to read. Pretty soon we will start reading the Hobbit and that will lead us into the summer.

My most favorite interest is my social work. I work with the foster care system in Indianapolis (volunteer) as a GAL. That means Guardian at Litem. I represent and advocate for minor children in court that have become CHINS. This means Children in Need of Services. I have my most trying case going on right now. IF I turn on my laptop these days it is to type emergency reports and homestudies. I have a case that involves multiple children with a history I cannot relate to. I look at my own children and pray and wish my CHINS didn't really endure their truth. It hurts my heart and my stomach. It is that bad. Tomorrow night I will watch another visit and make a decision. Should these kids every see their mother again? So I will keep praying for wisdom and advocate for these children when no else has in their young lives.

Well here are some pics. the green haired guy is Renato. Jayden loves to draw and she drew his picture the other day in school.

Have a great week and enjoy the warm weather coming this weekend. If you can't find us, we will be on the back patio grilling!

xoxo
